I hope you are all doing well and had a great week!
<br />
<div>
<br />
</div>
<div>
You know those moments when you feel like you are a chicken running
around with your head cut off-just trying to figure out what to do and
feel like there is just not enough time? Because that is how my mission
is beginning to feel. I find myself setting
goals, and then am coming to see how quickly time is passing. It's crazy
how time really does fly when life is fun. </div>
<div>
<br />
</div>
<div>
Have you ever wondered what God's days are like? As I have been
trying to accomplish all sorts of little things, I have looked at the
parents I meet and think about how crazy their lives are. I don't know
how people go to school full/part time, work fill/part
time, have callings, and balance family time. It looks overwhelming to
be an adult! Ha! As I have thought about the game of "balance" while
being a parent, I have thought about how God is able to do it. I truly
don't know how He figured out how all of this
life works for literally EVERY SINGLE person, so I'm just grateful for
the belief that He is looking out for all of us and had it all under
control. To all parents everywhere-THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!</div>
<div>
<br />
</div>
<div>
This week was so fun. I was able to go down to Lansing for another
leadership meeting. It is always so fun to see all of my friends who are
serving across the state. This meeting was a little different than
most, in that President took us all outside and
had seats for us in a nearby little forest by a little stream. He told
us of Joseph Smith and bore his testimony of the power that comes with
bearing the truth of the restoration. I hope to never forget it! </div>
<div>
<br />
</div>
<div>
Something else I have been thinking a lot about are those moments
when belief turns into knowledge. I was speaking with our branch
President, and he told me about 2 specific experiences he has had when
his belief turned into knowledge. Once while he was
19 and the other when he was 42. This man clearly has had many, many,
many spiritual experiences, but he testified how the spirit was
different in these particular instances. He (President Stirling) said,
"There are many things that I am convinced of. But I
truly KNOW that Jesus is the Christ. The spirit has conveyed it to me in
such a way I am afraid to deny it". Joseph Smith's first "experience"
may have been while he was reading James 1:5 as the spirit pressed upon
him stronger than ever before. I have asked
a lot of people about it, and have been thinking about signs or wonders
from Heaven. In Mormon 9, it talks about how miracles or these
"experiences" are not given to men to disprove their unbelief, but to
strengthen the testimonies they already have. As I have
talked with a lot of people about this, those individuals who have had
these "experiences" seem to be able to pinpoint even an exact date on
when this happened to them. Have you had an experience like this before?
I know I am still waiting for my "experience",
so I'll pray and search on until I truly KNOW. If you have or haven't,
even Christ said, Be not afraid, only believe". </div>
<div>
<br />
</div>
<div>
<a href="https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/04/lord-i-believe?lang=eng" target="_blank">https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/04/lord-i-believe?lang=eng</a><br />
</div>
<div>
<br />
</div>
<div>
This talk has been quiet interesting for me to study this week. No
matter what you are thinking or feeling, "You have more faith than you
think you do". I am so grateful for this gospel and am more than
convinced that it is Christ's church once again established
on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah. </div>
<div>
<br />
</div>
<div>
Have a great week!!!</div>

things that happened this week was we met a girl named Leanza Curtiss who is
22. Leanza is friends some of the members of the branch (primarily the Nelson
family). She spent the last week out in Utah with the Nelson family touring
Temple Square and BYU Campus. She was given a BOM a few years ago and has read
it twice. She is planning on attending BYU in a year after finishing her associates
here in Michigan. When we met her, she said, "So...what is this whole
thing with baptism?" She is SO prepared! We honestly just sit and watch
her answer her own questions! It's awesome! Her problem is that she was in the
foster care system and was adopted as an older child-to a family of pastors.
She really wants to join the church, but she is afraid she will lose her family
over it. Any advice? We know Satan is working hard on her-especially because
she will make such a strong member and cute provo mom :) </span></div>

the mission is DEFINATELY teaching me how to work with all sorts of people.

lessons cancel on us this week, and so we have tried to use our time to the
best of our ability by seeing less actives that we haven't met yet. We stopped
by a less active named Manuela who is blind. When we came in, she said,
"Oh sisters. How did you know I was just praying for some help when you
came here. God is real". Yes ma'am He is. It was actually a pretty neat

proselyting this week, we met a man named Jim-Jim is the son in law to one of
the members in the Petoskey branch. Before we introduced ourselves, he said,
"You're Mormon's, aren't you?" It was a reminder that we are placed
exactly where the Lord needs us to go. We were also able to see one of my favorite
members who is struggling with a brain tumor. Later in the week, we were
walking and Sister Fletcher said, "We need to go down this alley". As
we did, we met another less active who has been hiding from the church for
years. HAHA joke on him-can't hide from the spirit! Overall, it was a great
week.</span></div>

little bit. One of my favorite quotes from Brigham Young says,
"Do you read the scriptures as though you wrote them 5,000 years ago? Do
you read them as though you stood in the place of those men who wrote them? It
is your privilege to do so that you may be as familiar with the Spirit and
meaning of the written word of God as your are with your daily walk and conversation".
I have tried to imagine what it would be like to be Moroni-to watch all but 23
other men be killed, and then to be the literal last one standing. He roams
around and finishes the record as he waits to die. Isn't that so sad? Image if
that were you! Image what it would feel like, and how much the scriptures would
mean to you then. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;">One of my favorite
quotes from Elder Holland is "If, for a while, the harder you try-the
harder it get's-take heart. So it has been with the best people who have ever
lived". I don't know if I have ever worked harder in my life, and it's sure
been a while since Satan’s influence has been this discouraging. Looking back
on this week, it was so great and so much good happened that no WONDER it was
so hard-...Satan was a slightly peeved to say the least. It truthfully was a rough
week, but it was also so so so good. And...that last sentence sums up
missionary work at its finest. Haha! </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;">
As I have felt very inadequate and discouraged this week, I have been
thinking about the 3 Nephites who are still here (and if you are one of those 3
Nephites and happen to be reading this letter-you are my hero. I'm currently in
Traverse City and I'll be in Provo at the beginning of next year-and I'd love to
go to lunch or something and chat). As Christ was leaving them, He said,
"and again, ye shall not have pain while ye shall dwell in the flesh,
neither sorrow save it be for the sins of the world..." (3 Nephi 28:9).
Think of all of the things these three and John have seen? I wonder what has
been the hardest thing for them to watch through each generation? I wonder
where they were during the revolutionary war, the world wars, the cold war, and
all that is going on right now. Having seen Christ personally and to now to be
living in a "post Christian" era, I wonder what their sadness and
discouragement feels like. But I'm sure they keep their heads high and keep on
preaching the good word-and so must I. :) </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> One
great thing that happened this week was transfer calls! Sister Fletcher and I
will be staying together!! I am SOSOSO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, I thought we
might, but I'm stoked. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> I also
know that God is personally looking out for me every day. As we were grocery
shopping earlier this afternoon, a woman came up to us and said, "I just
felt impressed like I needed to talk to you. I love the Mormons. You are doing
a great job. Thank you for our service". Say what?! Thanks! Also, Sister
Fletcher and I get asked if we are twins literally every day. We get asked if
we are sisters all of the time, but it seems like we were asked so many times
this week! And then when people are drawn to talk to us to find out if we are
twins, they all of the sudden find themselves at the end of the conversation
with an appointment to learn about the Book of Mormon next week.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> We met
this little family that the parents are LA, but their 14-year-old daughter
wants to be baptized soon. We put her on date and are going to have her dad
baptize her-meaning they have to change some things. The mom is super stand
offish, and when I saw her for the first time, I thought "challenge
accepted". You will like us, whether you want to or not, you'll like us
one day:) </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> We met
with many other less actives and met some other investigators. We took one of
the Laurels to a lesson with us, and afterwards she said, "WOAH! Missionary
work is the best! I could hardly sleep last night I was so nervous and excited
to go out with you today". I absolutely love the missionary fire! It made
me laugh and I loved seeing someone so excited to serve!</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> I hope
you all have a wonderful week. If you are doing the best you know how, and life
somehow seems to be getting harder---join the club. Elder Holland also said,
"You are in good company. In fact, you are in the best company that ever
lived'. Angels are around you and are there to bear you up. You've got this!
Have a wonderful week!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> I truly
don't think I have been happier on my mission than I am right now. Things are
starting to pick up here in Traverse City and I am thrilled to be here. Another
transfer is over this week, and I can't believe how quickly it is going. As I'm
sure like a lot of things in life, when I wanted it to go quickly (like at the
beginning) it went on forever, but now that I want it to stay, the time is
flying by. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> I just have to
tell you about yesterday! We have been out knocking doors and trying to find
people to teach. Well let me tell you we have found some pretty incredible
people! I don't really want to tell you too much about them yet to ruin the
excitement, but keep reading the chronicles of Sister Ensign in the MLM to find
out what happens! All week we had been trying to meet with less-actives and we
have been calling everyone with very little success, BUT YESTERDAY 8 less
actives came to church! That was incredible and truly a miracle!!!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> One of the
coolest things was as we were running one morning this week- we met a woman who
offered to drive us to Suttons bay. So we hopped in her car a few days later
and then took multiple bus systems to get home. Not going to lie, the tourist
in me had an absolute blast! We taught many lessons on our trip, and it was so
fun!</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "times"; font-size: 14pt;"> My
thought I am going to leave with you all this week is the power of prayer. I
think many times we go to our Heavenly Father in times of need and we forget to
thank him for all the help he gives us. I invite all of you to follow the
council found in D&C 19:28 and pray vocally. Pray with a sincere heart and
contrite spirit. Grow your relationship with Heavenly Father. Come to know the
Savior and by doing this I promise you will come to know yourselves. I love you
all so much:) Talk to you soon!</span></div>

people say that missions are the best two years of your life? Most definitely
the best two years for my life-a struggle to say the least when facing a sinus
infection. I was teaching a new guy about the restoration, and my nose was so
stuffed he literally couldn't understand a word I was saying. I just sat there,
laughed, and looked at my greenie (who is AMAZING) to take it over because I my
blocked nasal cavities were preoccupied as they became well acquainted with two
whole boxes of Vicks scented tissue. Even though I felt kind of crummy, it was
cool to see how the Lord helped me be able to work every day. He helped me not
feel too tired and to help my greenie know what to say when I was coughing like
a maniac. I received a blessing, and I know all will be well. It's my own fault
too-I just love to talk with other missionaries when we get together and stay
up chatting about who knows what. Moral of the story-if we don't take time to
take care of our bodies, they will make us take time to feel better (unless
your a missionary-then the Lord will help you keep doing the work every day)

actually pretty good considering the sickness! However, we did drop 4 of our
investigators. They weren't progressing, so we're excited to see what miracles
will be placed in our paths this upcoming week. We met the CUTEST little family
in a town called Suttons Bay right on the coast. They have already had all of
the lessons because they used to live in Colorado, and their member friends
sent over the new missionaries to "practice" on them. Smooth. I am a
little worried on how high my hopes are. It's fun when I met someone and think,
"Yep. You fit the mold. You would be perfect". But then it's also fun
to see people who come from crazy backgrounds and think "You'd have to
change everything, but it's exactly what you need". </span></div>

sacrament this week-particularly from 3 Nephi 20. People often say they don't
need to go to church to be a good person or to become closer to God. In many
ways, they are right! We have such a large responsibility to build our
relationship with God outside of the church building. However, we have been
commanded to go to church because of the sacrament. When we take the sacrament
worthily and with purpose, we can be forgiven of the wrong that we do, and
don't have to feel guilty anymore. Then we can have the Holy Ghost with us
ALWAYS. I second Elder Oaks when he says, "To those brothers and sisters
who may have allowed themselves to become lax in this vital renewal of the
covenants of the sacrament, I plead in the words of the First Presidency that
you come back and feast at the table of the Lord, and taste again of the sweet
and satisfying fruits of fellowship with the saints. Let us qualify ourselves
for our Savior's promise that by partaking of the sacrament we will be filled,
which means we will be filled with the Spirit. That spirit-the Holy Ghost- is
our comforter, our direction finder our communicator, our interpreter, our
witness, and our purifier-our infallible guide and sanctifier for our mortal
journey toward eternal life". </span></div>

are miracles around me each day, but we wanted to have something awesome
happen. I was reading in 3 Nephi 1 about how people were shown signs as a
result of their faith. Sister Mathis and I tried our best to be as diligent as
we could to show our faith. As we were talking about how we could improve, a
woman named Jessica called us and said, "Hi, I don't know if you are the
right people to talk to, but I have a lot of Mormon friends and I want to come

we are the STL's up in the Traverse City Zone, but we will also train. We will
still go on trade offs (meaning I'll get to come back to Petoskey!!!!!) and
we'll meet in Cadillac sometime in the transfer. I am sad to be leaving the

been my personal challenge to be nicer to that man than anyone I've ever met. I
was dancing in the parking lot this morning and as he gets into his car says,
"Are you training for something?" I told him briefly about trying to
keep in shape (...haha I WISH) by dancing/running every day for the folk dance
team. He then said, "I want you to know that I really appreciate what you
do. The reason I walked you out the other day was because how you got into our
apartment was deceitful. You know what I mean?"....HAHAH!!! It's crazy how
opening a door works. Anyway, long story short-please pray for David. One day he'll
like me, "but that day is not today".. haha!</span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">This week was actually really cool!
The branch was hit hard with some pretty major tragedies, and I don't know if
I've ever seen God's hand more in our lives. On the 4th, one of our member's
apartment burned and she lost everything. The kid above her was playing with
fireworks and one didn't completely finish burning. She thankfully was at work,
but has to get new everything. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";"> The more I have
thought about it, the more I see it as God's greatest blessings to her. She is
financially struggling MAJORLY due to poor choices, and I thought she was going
to be homeless before I left the area. Now that her place burned, she will be
able to get an apartment closer to work, and she is able to gt even nicer
things than she had. They let her go through what she could for 15 minutes a
few days later, and she actually was able to find a bin with her only son's
baby pictures. Isn't that so cool! Not only was God able to save her
financially, He is able to give her something even greater in return-and is
able to bless the branch with an opportunity to serve. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">We also found out yesterday that one
of my favorite less active members has stage 4 breast cancer. She bawled as I
rubbed her back for a while. I didn't really know what to say when she told us,
but I read some scriptures with her and gave her many, many tissues. We visited
her last night, and it was good to be with her. We talked with her about
possible solutions, but mainly we just listened. All of the sudden, I said,
"One of my favorite things about being a missionary is that we have
literally been set apart to represent the Lord Jesus Christ. As such, we have
been given the authority to act in His name" I randomly opened up my
scriptures and read Mosiah 4:9 '<b>Believe in God; believe that he is</b>,
and that <b>he</b> created all things, both in heaven and in
earth; <b>believe</b> that <b>he</b> has all wisdom, and
all power, both in heaven and in earth; <b>believe</b> that man doth
not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend'. I then said
"I promise you in the name of Jesus Christ that if you will either move
out of or marry your boyfriend, you will be healed. God loves you and wants you
to obey Him".
WOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I
started freaking out in the car afterwards. I asked her if she believed me, and
when she said "Yes", I testified that I knew God loved her. It was actually
a really neat experience</span></div>

night in Cadillac as well as in Mt. Pleasant in my old apartment!!! It was so
weird to be back there, and 6 months of memories definitely came
back. I am grateful for Mt. Pleasant, but I was sure glad to come back
home to Petoskey! We traveled all over because we had Zone Training,
and I ended up teaching part of it. My topic was "working with
Members" and I prayed for days on what I should do. I couldn't figure
anything out, and all of the sudden, the idea of "Etiquette" came to
my mind. I literally taught 60 missionaries how to eat right and why they
should. I kept thinking about all of my "lessons" with Dad downtown
at Lambs and it was actually really fun! We had a practice teach where a couple
missionaries eat very poorly in front of President and Sister Jacobsen (who had
no idea what was going on) and it went really well. We also talked about asking
members "Why are you active?" and helping members remember why they
are doing what they are doing. Thanks for all of the idea that helped me!</span></div>

knocked on their door...but their 6 year old girl looked at me and said "I

Missionaries definitely have moments when we ask if we are actually making a
difference, or if it's worth it. But like Elder Holland says, "Yes it is
worth it. Because without it...we would leave our nation and our lives

that Patrick went to church in Alpena (On the other side of the state) while he
was on a camping trip! We talked about drinking (which he really isn't much of
a drinker, but does drink when he is with his family who drinks). He hasn't had
any alcohol yet while out of town! We asked him why he should follow the Word
of Wisdom, and he said "I really want to know what is true. If I want to
know if it is the Mormon way, then I better start acting like a Mormon".
Sweet! It was so exciting to get a call from the Elders in Alpena to tell us
how solid he is! We are hoping he'll be baptized in the next few weeks. </span></div>

We are already planning her trip out to Utah when we are home. On Wednesday
we had Jessica's baptismal interview, and she is what we refer as
"golden". She is so stalwart, and we couldn't be more thrilled for
her. The service was held after church yesterday, and even visitors stayed.
President and Sister Jacobsen came, and it was such a fun experience. She cried
the majority of the time, and once she came out of the water she said,
"man, that felt good. I just feel good". It was awesome!! She'll be
confirmed on Sunday, and we are hoping to get to the temple before transfers.
She is such a blessing and has changed my life. Welcome to the Church of Jesus

story short, not even an hour after we had talked about this girls mother with

The funniest part about my week was that as we were door knocking an apartment
complex, we were PROMPTLY escorted out by a 60 year old man who sternly walked
us out of the building. The funniest part?...it's our apartment complex. Moral
of the story-we know where NOT to go when we need a cup of flour. I laughed so
hard I couldn't even look at him as he walked us out. HAHAH!!! Poor guy. </span></div>

great! A major highlight was that our investigator Jessica taught the Relief
Society enrichment activity on Saturday. The gal is a miracle. She is so funny,
and we are having dinner with her this week because we have told her about our
lack of cooking ability. She is a dietitian, and she said, "we need you to
know how to cook so we can get you married". Hahah!! You better
believe she's coming to my wedding! She is doing so well, and she is excited
for her baptism in 2 weeks. </span></div>

having FHE with Mary's family. Mary has moving to Illinois for a month to live
with her daughter. She knows when transfer calls are, and she said she would be
back to say goodbye. As our final lesson, we played Pictionary with her and her
two grandkids, and we all laughed so hard. I love the Eaton family. I'm sad to
say goodbye to them for a few weeks. </span></div>

amazing experience as we talked with a less active who lives with her
boyfriend. She told us that they aren't married because they will lose $300 a
month from government aide if she's married. I told her that losing her
salvation is much more important than $3600 a year, and she started to bawl. I
love moments when people feel the Spirit testify to them that they need to
change. It's a unique situation for me (19 years old) to tell a woman 65 that
she needs to either move out of her boyfriends' home, or get married. But it's
also definitely a memory. We all love her. </span></div>

this week who told us she was so excited to meet with us and had some questions
for us. We were so excited after we talked with her on her doorstep, but that
excitement turned just a tad as she began her lesson with "Well, you do
know that I'm a Jehovah Witness, right? I won't join in your prayer, unless it
is to Jehovah God". ....and then things turned south quickly. Our member,
a returned missionary, and our dear Jehovah Witness friend began a bash of the
bible. After a while, I said, "It's obvious that we are all convinced that
our doctrine is correct, and nothing we say today will change our opinion. If
you are interested in learning about the truthfulness of our doctrine, you can
do as we have all done by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it
is true." It was much better afterwards, and the longer I am out, the more
I am realizing that adults are just little kids in taller bodies. oh
man.... </span></div>

thing that happened this week was as we were walking home one rainy night, a
woman with 3 little kids ran up to us and said "Can you pray with us? I
was just in a car accident, and I need help". It began to rain cats and
dogs, and we talked to this woman about how we know God will help her with her
trials and that He loves her. I said a prayer as we all held hands in a circle
on the side of the road. The woman's mother came (who is a retired nurse) and
helped. The woman said, "Wait, we have to take a picture because you are
so cute!" She then proceeded to ask us if we make bread all day long. Just
to top off the situation, we were confused as Amish. Ha! The picture is on the
bottom. </span></div>

crazy how quickly time is picking up. Thank you for all of the prayers in my
behalf as well as in behalf of the Petoskey area. I know that God lives, that
Jesus is the Christ, and that They love us. I know that He is aware of you,

parts of the week was when we visited a woman in her early 60's named A in the
hospital. She is from the Cheboygan group, but is down in Petoskey because we
have the main hospital. We visited her in ICU (she has a lot of fluid around
her lungs, and probably won't live much longer). She looked at me (and her eyes
remind me of Kelsey's) and said, "I am so scared to die. I've never done
it before. Help me". ...uh....Well, I've never before given a "final
speech" to someone as they are facing death, and it was quiet the experience.
My companion was talking with the nurse, so with a pray in my heart, told her
about the place of Salvation and God's love for her. She said, "That does
sound alright. I'll be okay". She was taken from ICU this week back home
with a hospice nurse. I don't know if I'll see her again in this life, but it
comforted me also to know that things will be okay when we pass away. </span></div>

taught us the Law of Chastity and the Word of Wisdom. She invited us over for
dinner this week to teach us how to cook a super yummy and healthy meal (since
she is a dietitian). Those are the most difficult lessons, so it appears we are
smooth sailing for her baptism in three weeks. She even came down to district
conference in Traverse City (and hour and a half away) BOTH Saturday and
Sunday! She met President and Sister Jacobsen and all of the missionaries. She
also said "I feel like I have been preparing my whole life for this. I
know this is exactly what God wants me to be doing". She's also teaching a
part of the enrichment activity this weekend with the relief society. Too good

I love the Branch, I love the area, and I love serving the Lord. The amazing
moments far outweigh the more difficult times. I know that Jesus Christ lives
and love us. One of the talks that has stood out to me from this last
conference is "Do I Believe?" I feel we often do things in the church
because we either see it as tradition, or something we grew up in. But as we
come to understand the message our church has to share, the reality of it is
much more apparent!! This is actually all real! And it's so cool to study it
each day! I love my mission.</span></div>

<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">"J!!!" (Before writing this, I'd like to thank the Petoskey Branch for their assistance in the 40 day fast. It is so fun to be your missionary because we get to see the results of your sacrifice! Thank you Branchies!!) While we were in Traverse City, we met a woman named Jessica at church. She lives in Petoskey and has had LDS friends for over 10 years. When she was put in our hands, she was already reading books about the Young Woman's theme, already had the Teachings of the Prophet book for this year, and already had the gospel library app on her phone. She could be baptized tomorrow if she already had all of the lessons. She said that she has noticed how her friends are different, and wants to change her life around to be like them! Does that happen in real life? Nope. But it sure did! We put her on date for June 11th, but she called and said, "Some of my friends can't make that date, how about the 26th at 1:30? We're planning on having a little get together afterwards, so would that work for the branch?" uh.........I mean we may have to schedule you in, but we'll check our calendar and see what we can do........OOOHHHH YEAH!!! She is Heaven sent, and is EXACTLY what the branch needs right now! The fast is working, and I love seeing the results of it! So for Huntie's 18th Birthday, Petoskey will have another baptism. </span></b></div>

<div dir="ltr">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">We also met a guy named "P." while we were walking this week. We taught him the resto on the spot, and the plan of salvation the following morning. We talked about him coming to church, and he said, "Sure, I'll be there!" and I thought "SSSUUURREE!" But he actually came! Some members invited him over for lunch afterwards, so we had a wonderful time being with an investigator in a member's home. After, P. said, "Thank you SO MUCH for inviting me to church! I loved it!"</span></b></div>

<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">We had trade off's this week, and I stayed in Petoksey. We volunteer every Tuesday at the Catholic church to help with the food pantry, and it is fun because people are recognizing us when we knock on their doors! It is so fun to have people react differently when they have previously seen us serve!</span></b></div>

<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">We taught one of our investigators the Law of Chastity this week-and it was one of the easiest LoC lessons I've ever been apart of. She said, "Yeah, the pamphlet was pretty cut and dry, and let's face it, I live with my boyfriend. I have been conflicted with this as a Christian, and I do feel guilty". Sweet! Thanks for saying the hard part for us! It went so well, and I was so grateful she was already prepared for us!</span></b></div>

<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">We also are having AMAZING WEATHER!! It is so fun to walk outside and see flowers and have the air not hurt. It is just turning spring (a little bit later than normal for me) but it is so, so fun. Instead of eating lunch, we sometimes go window shopping in the little stores downtown before all of the tourists come in Petoskey for the season! </span></b></div>

<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">We have been running in the mornings out on the pier, and I am literally living a dream. There are multiple parking lots, so this morning, after running on the shoreline, I practiced my daily hardshoe, but on the shore. It was SO FUN!!! Petoskey is definitely challenging me, but I am loving this. I truly can't believe I get to serve and live here.</span></b></div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Hello beautiful family!!! This has been a crazy week, so I'm sorry that this letter will be short!!!!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">This week I picked up my new companion, Sister M., and we had a great day on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Wednesday, we received a call from Sister Jacobsen saying that our apartment was sold, and that we needed to move out by 11:00 AM on Thursday. We spent the rest of Wednesday and all of Thursday packing and moving. We moved to Traverse City, which is about an hour and a half away. We are living with the Sisters that are there... So is all of our stuff. It is a tight squeeze, but we are making it work. I am currently in Lansing, and it is so fun to be with all of the missionaries down here. We have met some amazing people here in Traverse City, and it is fun to help the Sisters here! We have seen so many miracles this week, and it has been a full and fun week!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I'll tell you more about it on Sunday!! Talk to you then!!! Love you!! Sister Ensign</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Today she wrote:</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Hello beautiful family of mine!! It was so much fun to see all of you and talk with you yesterday!! Thank you for all that you do for me!! Nothing too much to update on since yesterday but I am happy and loving life!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">THE COOLEST THING HAPPENED THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sister M., and I were on a street close to the Sister's apartment here in Traverse City this week when on the last house we knocked on, the woman said, "Oh! LDS! I used to live in Utah! Long story short, she was one of the teachers that taught at my Middle School while I was there! (She remembered that Camille had dressed like another teacher for Halloween) Right before I left on my mission, one of my friends told me that this woman had moved back to Michigan and that I should go find her... and I ACTUALLY was led to her! Isn't that so AWSOME!!!!!? I don't know all of the reasons why I was sent to Traverse City for 2 weeks, but that was a miracle and reminder that He has got a plan for all of us.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">We now have an apartment in Petoskey!! We'll be moving back on Wednesday, and I can't wait!! Petoskey feels like home to me, and I am excited to see the work pick back up again there!!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">It was so fun to be in the Petoskey Branch yesterday and to be with everyone again. Summer people are beginning to come back, and the little building was full!!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I will be address-less for the net few days. If you wish to send a letter, the best address would be to send it to the mission office in East Lansing and they will forward it to me.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Thank you again!! Love you to pieces!!!!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">XOXO Sister Ensign</span><br />

<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">This week was incredible, and I am having so much fun being a missionary. I have never been more tired before, and I am loving this chance to do something like this for the Lord every single day.</span></b></div>

<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">Some quick highlights: We received our transfer calls!!! I am staying in PETOSKEY!!! WAHOO!!!! My new companion is Sister Katelyn Mathis from Heber, Utah!! She is actually from Heather and Corbin's ward-small world, huh? She is to DIE for cute, and I can't wait for her to see the amazingness of Petoskey.</span></b></div>

<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">One highlight from this week was Andrea. She is a less active who was very negative when we first met her on Saturday (she thinks Mormons worship Joseph Smith over Christ) After an amazing testimony meeting on her back porch, the Spirit touched her heart and we are now going to go visit with her on Saturday! SO cool!!!</span></b></div>

<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">Pre-story to Hunt's call:</span></b></div>
<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">I have been talking to EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE, about Hunter's call. The branch knows, my mission president knows, and most of my investigators know. Seriously, it's the talk of this town. Everyone made their guess, and it seems like the state of Michigan was in as much anticipation for his call as he probably was. </span></b></div>
<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;"> </span></b></div>
<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;"> I was in the library this week when I saw the video posted on facebook. Before I clicked on the video, I prayed that Hunter would feel that this was exactly where he was supposed to go. (Honestly, I was quite nervous to hear!!!) When he read Tennessee Nashville, I threw a HUGE first in the air and said " OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" AHHHHHHHHHH I CAN'T EVEN TYPE THIS WITHOUT FEELING SO PUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I then began to sob, right there in the middle of the quiet library. People were looking over at me, and I think my crying caught me off guard as much as it did anyone else. Nashville has no idea how blessed they are to receive one of the best missionaries this world has ever known. Hunt could have gone anywhere, and the lucky people in Nashville Tennessee are those who will be able to hear the gospel from him. I called just about everyone to tell them the good news. Huntie, I am more than THRILLED for you. And I can't wait to hear about your prep! AHHHHHHH!! It's PERFECT!!!! Nashville baby!!!! Here my Huntie Baby comes!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! </span></b></div>
<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;"> Knowing that Hunt is a few states below me has even increased my love for my mission. I love serving in the United States, and I can't wait for Hunter to meet people similar to those I am meeting. I know he already knows that missions change lives, so I add my testimony to those who have already said that this is one of the greatest things you will ever do in your life. I can't wait for you Hunt!!! AH YEAH!!!! YES!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!! And the end of July? What a great time to go!!! It's crazy to think that people are being call at my YEAR mark. What the? Those weeks at the MTC have the most English speakers of the whole year. So hunt will be surrounded by everyone speaking his same language going throughout different parts of the USA/World. YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!</span></b></div>
<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;">This week was great, and it really was made so much better when I heard about Hunt's call. I was in Traverse City on Monday and Tuesday, and saw the Lord bless us and he led us to people who are prepared. I am learning how cool it is to be a missionary! On Wednesday, we had a conference in Midland (a few hours away) with a few of the Zones. We talked about promising people blessings. I have learned that when missionaries promise blessings, it shows that the missionary has enough faith in Jesus Christ that He will answer the call of His representative and will perform the blessing on the recipient. I took this to heart, and have been promising people some amazing things (all prompt of the spirit) and have seen Christ help me so much! I promised this woman that if she would listen to the message of the restoration and the Book of Mormon, she would be able to have a better job to financially support her kids. The coolest thing is that I have no idea what her financial situation is, but she started to cry right there. It was awesome! I promised another gut that he would be healed physically of his epilepsy if he would read the while Book of Mormon, come to church faithfully and pray. He said, "That is exactly what I need! I'm in". Woah!! I know there were so many other things that happened that were miracles. I spend the day on Thursday in Cadillac, and we saw other miracles as we were led to people that we had pre-set to find! Cool! I promised various Sisters that we would teach lessons, and we did!! Now that my mission is coming close to it's half way point (crazy huh?) I finally feel like I have gotten the spark of missionary work. I love it here, and I love serving the Lord!! </span></b></div>
<div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">
<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;"><br /></span></b></div>

<b><span style="background-color: #444444; color: white; font-size: large;"> I testify that Jesus is the Christ, the Living Son of God. He knows you, loves you, and has a plan for you. I testify that the Book of Mormon leads us to Him, and to happiness if we'll allow it to. </span></b></div>

Ok, to begin, I want to start off with the coolest thing that happened this week.</b></span><br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">We have been praying to find new people to teach. We were out of town for the first couple days, so we only had a few days to be finding in Petoskey. </span></b><br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">On Thursday, we were in a SMALL town called CONWAY, which can't have more than 100 people in the whole town. We knocked on a door, thought no one was home, but a 17 year old kid came and talked with us for a while. Long story short, we ended up teaching him the plan of Salvation on his front porch (because no woman was home) while it was snowing! It was actually pretty cool!!!</span></b><br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">On Friday, we had a free afternoon, with some time to go wherever we wanted to go finding. We had initially picked a street called Jennings here in Petoskey. I thought, however, that with some extra time and miles, we should go back out to this small town of Conway with the success from the previous day. We drive all the way out there, and once there, we both got a feeling that it was wrong. I felt quite bad because I thought that we had wasted time and miles all for nothing. We come all the way back to Petoskey to knock on Jennings street-which is within walking distance of our apartment. We talk to only a few people, but were able to get some potential investigators from it. As we walk down the street, Sister Smith and I discuss how we are able to know what is an impression from the Spirit, trying to figure out how to listen better after some wasted time. HOWEVER, as we walk down the street, a man that we had just spoken with came hobbling after us and said "I thought about what you said, and I do want to meet. Give me 10 minutes and I'll meet you at the Library". Cool!!! </span></b><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>We meet at the Library, and before we can introduce ourselves, the man (Richard) says "I'll tell you something. I was writing a letter to God this afternoon. I was pouring my heart out to Him. I had JUST finished my letter when you knocked on my door. When I sent you away, the Spirit told me that you have a message for me that I need to listen to. The devil told me that you were too far away, and to let you keep going down the street. But I had to listen to the Spirit. So what is it? I'll listen". </b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Seriously it was so cool!!!!!!!!!!! I later saw that the Lord sent us out to Conway so Richard could finish his letter. He is 68, and is pretty religious. We saw him on Saturday, and he seems very interested in the message, though we don't know if he is all the way open to changing. (But no worries!! The Spirit will help him with that part). Oh, it was so awesome!!! </b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>We also had some opportunities to serve at a different food bank this week. It was fun to be with new people, and to help others in need in whatever way we can. The thing that surprised me the most was how affected (effected? Haha I have no idea on spelling) I was by the radio in the background. I know in my head that baptized members of the church have the Spirit with us always, but I didn't realize how that is drastically increased it is as a missionary. The music playing in the background was quiet, and though we did our best to block it out, I found myself singing along to "Gent (gentile)" music. When I caught myself, I felt the definite absence of the Spirit. I am so grateful for this opportunity to be so involved with the Spirit of the Lord. </b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>We also had a trip down to Lansing!!! It was probably too much fun, and though we had little sleep, we had a wonderful time being trained to help our Sisters a much as possible. it was fun to see President and Sister Jacobsen again, and I look forward to seeing them again this upcoming week. I'll be all over Northern Michigan this week for different training with the Sisters up here, and I am so excited to help in whatever way I can. </b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Conference was great, and I loved Elder Christofferson's about Daddy's. I love you Daddy! I also loved Elder Holland's talking about getting credit for trying out best. AND, I loved British Elder Kearon. Seriously, love a good accent. And love learning about helping others #doublewammie </b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>I love being a missionary. I am currently in Petoskey!!! I will be heading down to Traverse City this evening, then to Midland on Wednesday, then to Cadillac on Wednesday afternoon to come back to Petoskey on Thursday. I love being a missionary, I can't even handle it! I opened my call a year ago, and I have thought about all that has happened over the last year. It's crazy how quickly time is speeding up! I can't believe it. </b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>I love Jesus Christ, and testify that He lives. </b></span><br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Have a wonderful day and week!</span></b><br />
